Michiel van Krevel (52) lives in Gemonde, The Netherlands and is married to Judith. Together they have 2 children. Michiel’s father was a teacher and as a result he was taught theoretical skills. He also followed courses at the MEAO and HEAO CE. His mother came from an entrepreneurial family and as a child Michiel learned all the tricks of the trade. So from early on, he has an affinity for commerce.

As a representative at top brands, such as Canon, Villeroy & Boch and Vileda, Michiel was responsible for the South region for many years, resulting in an enormous amount of sales experience. Two years ago he made the switch to ATS. In his position he is responsible for the Benelux and Scandinavia. Operating from national to international is a world of difference and that gives Michiel a challenging job. Something he certainly does not shy away from!

ATS is both a converter as a supplier and that brings many possibilities. The world of tapes was new to Michiel, so he could immerse himself in this new subject. Very educational, because there are so many possibilities and differences in tape! As a consumer you probably know the duct tape, but did you know that there are many other segments of tape? For the painting industry, asbestos … you can use tape for everything!

“How nice is it to pioneer and constantly learn new things,” said Michiel, “ATS is a real family business where anything is possible and where thinking along is appreciated. There are continuous product innovations and there is a lot of innovation in the assortment. Sales works closely with the office staff and marketing. It works really nice because everyone here is open minded and the company is always in motion. ”

Michael’s goal is to generate more business in his region. Due to the many options that ATS can offer the market, this is a great challenge. Generating more business requires sometimes some long-term thinking, but once customers opt for ATS, they also become long-term relationships. Relationship management and building a clientele is something that Michiel likes to do.

“These days we are focusing more and more on private label, because that is where the growth market really is and we can offer added value to our customers. We have already added some great customers to our customer portfolio, but there is still plenty to do! ATS is a company that does what it promises and keeps its promises. The advantage is that we convert ourselves, enabling us to be flexible and deliver fast. When I invite customers to the company, they always say that there is a good atmosphere within ATS. That’s nice to hear back, because that’s how it really is. ”

A good work-life balance is important for Michiel. He wants to have fun in his work, but also wants to achieve his targets. He does it together with his team and when they get an order it is a team effort. ATS can offer its employees and customers a lot. In the coming years, Michiel has not yet finished learning, because there are still plenty of ideas on the shelf in the field of product development and much more!
